Well, hi.
This blog is my 32nd birthday present from my sweetie. I’m very excited! In my copious free time, I expect to post here about faith, parenting, divinity school, crafting, thrift shopping, and general ruminations on life and the state of the world. You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! I hope this will be a place to keep in touch with friends and family, and make some new friends as well. More soon; I just couldn’t resist a first post.

What a great birthday present — and welcome to the blogosphere! I look forward to reading this weird bird (the title reminds me of the painting in our living room, by the way) regularly.
